Have fun exploring the magical world of analog darkroom photography alongside experienced instructor Chloe Collyer in this week-long workshop for teen artists. Learn to use a film camera (including a light meter), develop film, and print from your own negatives in PCNW’s professional level darkroom. In addition to these technical skills, explore your personal creativity and understand concepts in composition, image sequencing, and point of view. Each day, you’ll shoot and develop a roll of film, create contact sheets to review your images, and select from those images to make prints. Discover unique and nuanced approaches with photograms, solarization, printing with polycontrast filters, and making your own pinhole camera. Dive in and see how analog skills can make you a better photographer!

35mm film cameras and scholarships are available for those in need; contact us at scholarships@pcnw.org.
