    ABOUT THE WORK
In another space/time the Fool makes his somewhat precarious way through the landscape. Things happen, adventures befall, and he survives. Not very young anymore, not overly swift, not overly heroic, but he survives.

    ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ron Reeder (1939 - 2019) earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from MIT in 1965 and ran a molecular biology research lab at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Seattle) until 2002 when he retired to pursue photography full time. He was mostly self-taught but took much inspiration from workshops with photographers such as Bruce Barnbaum, Don Kirby, Stu Leve, and others. He specialized in making prints on hand coated palladium paper, often with layers of colored gum bichromate on top. He pioneered the use of the QuadToneRIP in making digital negatives and wrote two books on the subject. Ron Reeder lived on Mercer Island with his wife Judith who is also a photographer. ronreeder.com
